Last night, desperately trying to finish (or even start) my last Roman History paper, it occured to me that I've pulled all-nighters for five out of the six papers assigned for that class, i.e. all the papers I actually wrote. Today was the last day of classes, and now finals are all that remain. I'll probably go another night without sleep before the semester ends, but as long as it's not spent procrastinating on a writing assignment, I don't think I'll even mind.
I ran into Stapleton on campus a few days ago. I was staring absently out of a Top Lenoir window, chewing a tidbit of mystery meat, and noticed Chris Chilton down below, talking to someone who didn't look like a student. It was actually several minutes before I realized the non-student was Stapleton, and then I bolted down the rest of my meal and rushed out to join them. It felt great to be able to tell him I'm planning to finish a Latin minor.
I haven't slept in over forty hours, unless one counts the several dozen times I nodded off in the shower this afternoon. Time to change that.
