It was when Abby and Carmen lit up on the way back to campus, I think, that I began sinking back toward reality. This while I was still clouded from several more margaritas than were necessary to wash a burrito down -- lacking the focus to attempt musing whether one recreational poison is that different from another, I was just slightly and unthinkingly revulsed. But still happy. It was a fun night.
I biked back to my dorm and watched '50s movies on my roommate's TV while clarity won back control of my mind. I didn't study then, and I still haven't. Tomorrow, always tomorrow -- except tonight's my last chance of the semester to say that.
